Isska

A catalog that isn't a store. Isska's work spans collectible items, themed collections, spatial projects, and partner collaborations — related bodies of work that are structurally different from one another and had to cross-reference cleanly without collapsing into a generic product grid. The site also had to read as an editorial object in its own right, restrained enough to let the photography carry the work, while a team without engineering support managed a deep catalog of pieces, fields, and imagery as it grew.

A Webflow build organized around four interlocking CMS collections — Items, Collections, Projects, and Things From — each with its own template and metadata, linked so a piece can surface in a collection, a project, or a collaboration without being duplicated. Information architecture followed how the collective actually publishes rather than a standard catalog model. Editorial layouts were kept typography-led and image-forward, and the CMS was structured for direct editing so new pieces, collections, and press could be added without engineering involvement.

Isska publishes across four linked collections without engineering involvement — adding pieces, opening new collections, and posting press as the catalog grows. A piece is entered once and surfaces wherever it belongs, so the archive holds together as it expands rather than fragmenting into duplicated entries.
